Western Sydney University has more than tripled its number of '5' ratings and achieved its best ever research evaluation in the latest Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) round.

Eleven of the University's research disciplines were rated at ERA level 5 in the 2015 results, meaning they ranked "well above world standard" the highest ranking possible. This is more than triple the amount of level 5 ratings the University achieved in the last ERA round in 2012.

Over two-thirds of Western Sydney University students combine study with work. The Western Sydney Careers team aims to coordinate and expand on-campus employment opportunities for all students. Our programs aim to provide students with paid professional experience on and off campus, as well as overseas and enhanced employability skills. The Jobs on Campus program can assist you find jobs within the University and will help you financially while studying.

Here at Western Sydney University we have a recruitment program that is specifically designed to link students with degree-relevant opportunities. With the support of our Careers Service, students can undertake placements in various areas such as website design, marketing, chemical testing, storm water management, database development and social research to name a few.
